COMPUTING AT HUYTON WITH ROBY CE PRIMARY SCHOOL
Computing is a new subject to the National Curriculum which replaces ICT. It provides our children with the opportunity for change, challenge and a more exciting and rigorous curriculum that addresses the opportunities offered by the technologically rich world in which we live.
At Huyton with Roby we hope that our children will learn how computers and computer systems work. They will have the opportunity to design and build programs, develop technology and create a wide range of content.
At Huyton with Roby we are lucky enough to have a variety and range of equipment for the children to use in computing and across the curriculum. This includes a computer suite with 30 recently updated PC’s, Samsung Galaxy tablets for use in Key Stage 1 and 2, a range of floor turtles, cameras and a PC in each classroom.
We follow the Rising Stars scheme of work for computing, as well as using some elements from the Knowsley scheme of work.
