The school believes that a broad and balanced P.E. curriculum experienced by all of the children, in a safe and supportive environment, makes a vital and unique contribution to both pupils’ physical and mental development. This curriculum will be progressive, stimulating, challenging and enjoyable. It will not only develop physical competence and skills but it will also serve to promote an understanding of the benefits of exercise and develop opportunity to establish self-esteem, self-confidence, tolerance and understanding of others. The P.E. curriculum will promote high standards of teaching, learning, behaviour and relationships.
