Welcome to our Year 3 class page. Here you will find information about our classroom routines and a few snapshots of the wonderful things we do in Year 3. There are two Year three classes – 3A and 3W. Mrs Allerston teaches 3A and Mrs Williams teaches 3W.

Reading in Year Three
We bring our reading books into school every day. Our reading books are usually changed at least once a week. If your child is in 3A their books will usually be changed on a Tuesday and if your child is in 3W their books will usually be changed on a Wednesday.
An adult should listen to us read every night at home as part of our homework.
Homework in Year Three
Homework is mainly online and consists of Times Tables Rock stars, weekly spelling lists and reading books. Occasionally handwriting practice will be sent home.
Spellings will be given out every Monday on a sheet and added to class dojo. The children will practice these spellings every day in class. You should practice these spellings at home. We will have a spelling test every Friday and we will give the results to you on the following Monday through class dojo. Children should read their reading book at home and answer the comprehension questions at the back in their reading journals. Children should aim to do 10 minutes of Times Tables Rockstars a day. 
PE Days in Year Three
We will have PE on a Thursday until the October half term. Your child should come to school in their PE kits on their PE day.
We will update you on class dojo if our PE day changes after October half term.
