The school believes that a broad and balanced P.E. curriculum experienced by all of the children, in a safe and supportive environment, makes a vital and unique contribution to both pupils’ physical and mental development. This curriculum will be progressive, stimulating, challenging and enjoyable. It will not only develop physical competence and skills but it will also serve to promote an understanding of the benefits of exercise and develop opportunity to establish self-esteem, self-confidence, tolerance and understanding of others. The P.E. curriculum will promote high standards of teaching, learning, behaviour and relationships.

We are very fortunate to have a wide range of excellent facilities at Huyton with Roby C.E. Primary School. These include:

  • 2 multipurpose halls (one for infants, one for juniors).
  • A large playground equipped with adventure trail, tyre park, nature trail and woodland area. All of which are used during lesson time as well as playtime.
  • A separate reception outdoor play area complete with activity centre.
  • A large school field.
  • Multi-purpose, fenced ball courts.
