A message

We know you are worried and we know you are juggling many things at home – children’s happiness, children’s learning, housekeeping, your jobs, your families and we know this is a great weight on your shoulders – we are feeling it too.

Please don’t worry, your child is up to where they are, no-one is ahead or behind where they should be in these strange and worrying times – they are, where they are. The children will come back to us wherever they are up to and we will respond to them wherever they are and support them to be the best they can be. Just do your best, try to build a simple routine and focus on short sessions every day when you can as you can.

The important thing now is to keep safe and well, to support your child emotionally, to make sure they are happy and secure.

Learning is not just work in books or work on line. Learning is life skills – learning to be independent, to care for others, to hold a conversation, to express feelings and opinions, to cook, clean, explore the world around them, to read and develop the imagination, to build and deepen relationships and family bonds.

Do not worry – we can all work together when we are back together to put your child’s learning back together.

Keep well, God bless and thank you for all you are doing.
